OPEN HANDS CHILDREN'S MINISTRY UGANDA 

This is open hands children's ministry Uganda Kampala.this is non profit organization which is based in Uganda Kampala looking after orphans and street kids.we like music and it is our hubby.it cools our heart and mind.we as open hands we  are here to give hope to the hopeless children.so please we welcome you to open your hands too.we are Christians and we love Jesus.please feel free to join us and we do this work together.we give food,we provide education and we bring Jesus in these CHILDREN'S minds..

To improve on the living standards of orphans and other vulnerable people thus eradicating poverty.


To make grants and donations to children/orphans in special need of play facilities and generally to provide such other assistance to statutory or other bodies of persons calculated to be of direct benefit to children in special need of such facilities;


To establish and manage projects for children, orphans, widows, women and other disadvantaged people.


To volunteer in building, operating and managing education facilities such as schools buildings, blocks, school libraries, and children learning centres, kindergartens, rehabilitation centers for orphaned, poor and street children and building nursing homes for orphaned children. 


To provide vocational training such as tailoring, hair dressing, computer literacy skills, carpentry and joinery, technical drawing, driving, mechanics and brick laying and concrete practice.


To carry out mass sensitization and education in schools and local communities and in so doing, dispense, transmit, propagate and communicate or spread information by word of mouth, public meetings, lectures, assemblies, interviews, clinics, camps, house parties, conferences, seminars and treat, by pamphlets, publications, newspapers, posters, magazines, periodicals and advertisements and books, by television, sound broadcasting, cinematograph films, gramophone recordings, internet and personal conversation or otherwise.


To ensure the church community is aware of the rights of family Obligations, conflicts resolution in families’ diaconate domestic violence as well as protecting and promoting women and children’s rights in accordance with Christian teachings and as embedded in the National Constitution.


To cater for the unprivileged persons such as the children and the elderly as the organization deems fit.


To support the sick as well as bereaved families, encourage the surviving parties on how to continue with life by the way of counseling i.e those in the hospitals and different other rehabilitation centres..


To provide vocational training such as tailoring, hair dressing, computer literacy skills, carpentry and joinery, technical drawing, driving, mechanics and brick laying and concrete practice.


To provide opportunities and encouragement for pursuing a regular and liberal course of education of the highest grade and quality in the various branches of knowledge dealt with by the institution, and especially those prescribed or required by the Organisation from time to time.


To sensitize the society about economic development as guaranteed by the national policies and their role in promoting economic development through seminar education.


To provide information resources and learning opportunities to enable individuals make informed decisions about wellness and health to gain greater sense of control and prevention of serious medical conditions and or life threatening situations


To establish any of the above projects, small scale industries and businesses or branches of the organization anywhere in Uganda and anywhere in the world and to regulate and discontinue the same.


To train and sensitize people how to manage savings which will make it possible for even very people to develop and income generating micro activities which may be commercial, artisan and agricultural.


To fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS and ignorance among people like orphans, youths among others.


To extend free health services to the community/society, treatment of diseases and sicknesses, visiting the sick in the hospitals and offer them all the basic support.


To provide tourists with authentic, educational and quality experiences e.g by creating opportunities for them to interact with locals in an unstructured, spontaneous manner (e.g through sports activities, visit to local schools/institutions/organizations and participation in local festivals and events etc.


To provide education opportunities to the orphans, street children, destitute children, children from financially poor families by offering them full and half bursaries, sponsorship.


To volunteer in building and developing health facilities such as hospitals, dispensaries, clinics and pharmacies for the purpose of uplifting the health standards of the society.


To establish Educational, Rehabilitation and Youths learning centers all over the country.


To carry out nationwide training aimed at imparting skills and proficiency enhancement for the women, orphans, disabled, and other vulnerable groups about developmental and income generating projects such as;-

Farming/ agriculture (animal rearing. Poultry and crop growing)

Brick making 

Art & crafts

Tailoring

Carpentry

Shoe making

Soap making

To promote and undertake research into economic development and welfare needs and services either at the request of non government or government authorities or on its own initiative.


To empower socially and economically marginalized people in the society.


To develop and carry out policies and programs designed to contribute to the elimination of poverty and distress and to improve social conditions in the community particularly in respect of disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and groups.

To inculcate a spirit of togetherness and partnership in project development.


To serve its members by acting as their advocate and spokesman at the international level on issues of economic development.

To train and sensitize the youths start up developmental and income generating projects/activities such as carpentry, poultry, moulding pots, salon, hairdressing, construction so as to stamp out joblessness among the youths.
